The 1814 Gathering House Shoppe
Built in 1814, The Gathering House was originally a tavern and hotel. Today it’s home to one of the town’s most cherished collections of primitive home furnishings, as well as lip balms, jewelry, scarves, handbags, agateware, bedding, candles, Tervis Tumbler, and so much more! Just as folks did in days gone by, stop by the Gathering House for a relaxing, enjoyable experience!

Come browse our Amish-made wall hangings, quillows, throws, hot pads, table runners, furniture, Amish dolls and locally-made wrought iron lanterns, chandeliers, fence and flower planters. “Blow Out the Lights and Turn on the Candles.”At the Old Candle Barn, we’ve got all the ingredients to give your home the warm and cozy feeling that accompanies flickering candlelight, starting with the candles themselves. Our barn is filled to the rafters with item that will turn your house into a home. Browse through our selection of window treatments, old fashioned braided rugs, primitive style lighting and bulbs and of course our deliciously scented candles and potpourri. Guests can even observe candles still being poured and dipped the “old fashioned way” by local craftsmen. Monday through Saturday 8am-5pm.
